Sokin named to Canada’s 2026 Culture 100 Awards - Recognizing the most thriving growing companies to work for in Canada

Sokin, the global business payments and financial platform, has been named to the 2026 Culture 100 Awards in Canada, recognition that reflects not just a strong workplace, but a deliberate approach to building a team that mirrors the global business it operates.

Sokin’s Toronto office has more than doubled its growth and now houses people spanning engineering, sales, marketing, HR, IT and customer success making it a full-service hub. The team represents 18 nationalities and speaks 13 languages, with forty-two percent of the team being women.

For a company whose entire business is geared to serving international businesses and moving money across borders, having a global perspective and instilling inclusive excellence is a prerequisite and a competitive advantage. When your team speaks the languages of the markets you serve, understands their nuances, and has lived experiences with the friction of international payments, you build a better product and deliver a better service.

"Building a great culture isn't something you announce. It's something your people live every day. What makes me proud about our Canadian team isn't just how fast we've grown, it's who we've grown with. A team this capable and this genuinely committed to each other is rare. Being recognized for it means a lot."

said Vroon Modgill, founder and CEO of Sokin.

"I've worked in HR long enough to know the difference between a company that says it values its people and one that actually does. At Sokin, the care is real. You feel it in how decisions get made, how people support each other across teams, and how quickly someone new becomes part of the fabric of the place. Being named to Canada’s Culture 100 Awards confirms what we already knew."

said Michelle Franco, HR Partner of Sokin.

The team recently relocated to a larger Toronto office to accommodate its growth, a move that signals the seriousness of Sokin’s Canadian ambitions. The company is actively advancing its capabilities in agentic AI, stablecoin settlement and embedded finance, with its Canadian team playing an active role in those developments.

The Culture 100 Awards, run by Maya, a global media and culture analytics platform, in partnership with Nielsen, recognize companies across Canada committed to building strong workplace cultures. Selected from thousands of applicants, winners are chosen by Maya’s editors and a panel of people and talent leaders.
