How do I opt into balance boost?
All Sokin accounts are automatically eligible to Boost their balance. To create a Boost, you must have funds in your Premium Wallet by completing a Premium Transfer in your preferred currency. From here you can activate a Boost by selecting a term and entering the amount to Boost. Once a boost is submitted, it will appear under Boost Requests where it can be approved or rejected by the account Checker.
When will I have access to my earnings?
Funds in your Premium wallet are easily accessible, meaning you can deposit or withdraw funds anytime. However, boosted balances remain fixed for the period you select. Once this period ends, your boosted funds will become accessible in your Premium Wallet, unless you have enabled an automatic renewal.
How much interest do I get after one month?
Interest earned is calculated based on the Annual Equivalent Rate (AER), which represents how much interest you’d earn if your balance was boosted for a full year. Because the Boost period is shorter (i.e., 1 month, the interest you earn is adjusted (or normalised) to match the actual duration of your Boost. This means you'll earn approximately one-twelfth of the annual interest rate of your currency.
Are there any fees or maximum limits?
There are no monthly fees or charges on earnings when you boost your balance. Additionally, there's no maximum limits, meaning you can boost unlimited funds in USD, GBP, or EUR. Need a little more help? Visit our help centre for more information.
